My Grandfather owned a commercial fish house when I was young, and that led to me loving the water. Working for Bayard Sharp under Captain Phil O’Bannon developed my passion for guiding.

I fish Gasparilla Sound, Pine Island Sound, Charlotte Harbour, and anywhere the fish are.

Nothing is quite as exciting as sight fishing big Tarpon, although I also love Snook fishing. These two are my primary targets, along with Redfish and Trout.

We were fishing Tarpon in late July down in Pine Island and the fish were cruising a channel edge of a shallow flat. When a 120 pounder ate the fly, he greyhounded right up on the flat and beached himself. We had to get out and pull him back to deep water.
