My brother Ed and I booked a Rut Moose hunt with the Udell's for 2021 and were both successful! We booked a couple years in advance and had high expectations as well as apprehension as we had been burned in the past by a different outfitter in Idaho on an elk hunt. I can't stress enough how important it is to do your homework and communicate with your outfitter, before and during your hunt. Kelly and his wife were sensitive to our bad experience and accommodated accordingly. Ed got his moose on the 4th day and I got my moose on the last day with 2 minutes of shooting hours left! Stick to it no matter the conditions. We plan to book with Udell's in the future. It's worth the drive all the way from Pennsylvania.

Hunted the moose rut fall of 2017. To me the Udells are a small family operation and they treat you like family. The weather was rather warm when we hunted last of Sept which limited the movement of animals. The Udells were still able to get 3 of the 4 hunters tagged out on moose. The hunters were all old retired farts like me. They even put me on a nice bear so now my wife has her bear rug. Kelly and his father went out of their way to besure our needs were met. Food was good and wall tent was comfortable. One of their highest priority was to besure that downed animals were handled in timely fashion which gave me some excellent moose meat. What impressed me the most was that one hunter in our group of four was handicapped. He was missing an arm and leg due to an accident. The Udells had this gentelman on a moose the second day of our hunt and this was the biggest moose harvest by our group. I've had some great experences in hunting over my years, but with this fellow getting a moose tops them all.

My hunting partners and I had a fabulous trip in May of 2018. We hunted Bear with Kelly spot and stock. We saw a wide variety of bears and was amazed at the number for the week. We were very impressed with the meals that Kelly provided considering we were tenting it. We loved the area and the target rich environment and have already booked the Bear hunt for next year. Planning is in the works for booking for other animals other than Bear with Kelly.
